Fundraising
Your student is currently a member of the Kastner Intermediate Instrumental Music Program. We are looking forward to a great year and are excited that your student has chosen to be a part of our program. As you may already know, the budget dollars provided by the state to Clovis Unified do not fully fund the Instrumental Music Program, including the following activities or expenses:
• Additional Instructional Staff
• New Music
• Instrumental Music Shirts
• New Instruments, Instrument Repair, & Supplies (beyond district allotment)
• Awards
Through fundraising and voluntary contributions, we will be able to offer these expanded opportunities. To continue to provide these opportunities through the Kastner Instrumental Music Program, we must collectively raise the amounts necessary to cover their costs. We have estimated fundraising goals in order to continue to provide the above-described opportunities. The total voluntary donation goal for members of the Kastner Instrumental Music Program is $10,000.
To assist the entire Kastner Instrumental Music Program in achieving its overall fundraising goal, we will offer several fundraising opportunities for your student. These fundraising opportunities include:
- Cookie Dough Fundraiser
- Family Dinner Nights (Ex. Chipotle, McDonalds, Panda Express, etc.)
Students may assist in fundraising through one or more of the above-described opportunities. Families are also encouraged to make a voluntary contribution to the Kastner Instrumental Music Program, in lieu of or in addition to fundraising.
These fundraising activities are not mandatory, and your student will not be adversely affected in terms of their participation in the program if your student cannot assist in fundraising and/or making voluntary contributions to the program. Our fundraising goal is a collective one, and not on an individual student basis. As such, the larger the number of students unable or unwilling to assist, the greater the burden on those students who do meet the group’s fundraising goal for the benefit of everyone. Based on the collective fundraising goal, if each of the 200 students in the Kastner Instrumental Music program fundraises equally, the amount attributable to each student is only $50.00 or just $10 a month for 5 months!
To donate we have to two convenient options you can choose from. You can donate through Paypal or check/cash. The PayPal link will only be reserved for our donations from Nov. 4th-8th. If you wish to donate after these dates, please email your student’s music teacher. In the notes field in Paypal, please make sure to type “Instrumental Music” and your students name for bookkeeping. You can also take a screenshot after your transaction and upload it in the google form. If you plan to donate with cash/check please drop off your donation at Kastner’s front office and ask for it to be placed in Mr. Paim’s box.
We strongly encourage families and students to assist in fundraising activities and/or making voluntary donations to the program so that we can continue to offer these opportunities to the Kastner Instrumental Music students. Any donation amount is appreciated.
